Bronx, N.Y. – (February 12, 2025) – With the college baseball season set to begin this week, a number of preseason rankings have been released.
In the Atlantic 10, Fordham was picked 11
th in the conference in the coaches preseason poll, while D1Baseball.com had the Rams at 10
th.
Additionally, junior
Daniel Bucciero was ranked among the top 50 third basemen by D1Baseball.com, coming in at 42.
A 2024 Second Team All-Atlantic 10 selection, Bucciero had a stellar campaign for the Rams, starting all 52 games at third base. He batted .310 for the season, setting career-highs in doubles (15), home runs (9), RBI (36), and stolen bases (17). He also led the Rams with 19 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI contests. In league play, Bucciero was a dominant force, hitting .374 with 23 runs scored, seven doubles, nine home runs, 26 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.
Bucciero is also a CSC Academic All-District honoree and a two-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Fordham begins the 2025 season on Friday, February 14
th, as the Rams start a three-game series against #13 N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C. This marks the second straight season that Fordham will open the year against a ranked opponent.
