Washington, D.C. – (December 9, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham's
David Vargas (Mexico City, Mexico) being named the Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week, while
Quinn MacPhail (Shaker Heights, Ohio) and
Sakia Aikman (White Plains, N.Y.) received Men's and Women's Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.
For Vargas, this is his third Performer of the Week award this season, while being the third Rookie award for MacPhail and the second for Aikman.
Vargas won both diving events in Fordham's tri-meet with NYU and The College of New Jersey. He won the one-meter event with a score of 318.30, while scoring 402.35 on the three-meter board for the first place finish.
MacPhail won both distance freestyle events at Fordham's NYU and TCNJ tri-meet. He posted winning times of 9:24.80 in the 1000-yard freestyle and 4:37.93 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Aikman had two top three finishes in Fordham's meet against NYU. She earned silver in the 50-yard freestyle (23.89) and finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (51.95). Aikman also contributed to the 200-medley relay team that won the event in 1:44.41.
Vargas, MacPhail, and Aikman and the rest of the Rams are now off for Winter Break until January 13
th, when they travel to Rider for a 6:00 PM meet.
