Swimming & Diving Has Successful Meet at Boston College

Women Defeat Eagles, 157-143; Men Win Five Events & Post Six Season-Best Performances

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – (November 7, 2025) – The Fordham swimming & diving teams hit the road on Friday and had a very successful meet against the Boston College Eagles.
 
WOMEN'S MEET
  • The Rams knocked off Boston College for the second straight year by a score of 157-143.
  • Fordham won nine individual events on Friday, led by Hayley Clark, who took first in three events, all in season-best times.  She won the 200 freestyle (1:52.66), the 200 butterfly (2:05.53), and the 500 freestyle (5:02.00).
  • Karina Kanary and Dani O'Kelly were both multiple event winners.  Kanary took first in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.77) and the 200 individual medley (2:06.33), both of which were season-best times.  O'Kelly swept the diving events with scores of 267.65 (3M) and 275.95 (1M).
  • Ella Montgomery won the 100 butterfly in 56.63 seconds, while also posting a season-best time in the 100 backstroke (57.32).  Campbell Stever was the final event winner in the 1000 freestyle (10:31.51).
  • The Rams also had season-best times in the 200 medley relay (1:44.76) and 400 freestyle relay (3:31.56), the 50 freestyle (Saskia Aikman – 23.67), and the 100 freestyle (Aikman – 51.86).
 
MEN'S MEET
  • Fordham fell to Boston College, 199.5-98.5.
  • The Rams won five individual events on Friday, led by David Vargas winning both diving events with scores of 339.05 (1M) and 378.95 (3M).
  • Quinn MacPhail won both distance freestyle events with season-best times of 9:22.95 (1000) and 4:35.48 (500).
  • Max Maycher was the final individual winner, as he tied for first in the 100 breaststroke at 56.45 seconds.
  • The Rams also posted the team's best times in the 200 medley relay (1:30.27), the 400 freestyle relay (3:06.50), the 100 freestyle (Daniel Ribeiro – 45.92), and the 200 backstroke (Ben Ohrr – 3:06.50).

  • The Rams now prepare for the Bucknell Invitational, November 21-23, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
