Orlando, Fla. – Fordham senior Nevena Kolarvic and junior
Julianne Nguyen took to the courts at the 2025 NCAA Championships last Wednesday, becoming the first Fordham women's tennis student-athletes to compete at the NCAA Championships. Unfortunately for the Rams, the duo battled before falling to Virginia's Annabelle Xu and Martina Genis Salas, 6-4, 6-4.

Kolarevic and Nguyen advanced to the NCAA Championship by winning the 2025 ITA Northeast Regional doubles title at the University of Pennsylvania on November 9, defeating Penn State's Olivia Dorner and Maiko Uchijima in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.

Kolarevic and Nguyen advanced to the finals after four straight wins moved the pair to the semifinals where they took a hard fought decision from Delaware's Maryia Hrynashka and Paulina Jurkowska. After dropping the first set, 6-4, the Fordham duo came back to win the second, 6-3, and the tiebreaker, 10-8.
