Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham women's tennis doubles team of
Nevena Kolarevic and
Julianne Nguyen are ready for the big stage as they will open play at the 2025 NCAA Championships on Wednesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. They are the first Fordham women's tennis student-athletes to compete at the NCAA Championships.

The Fordham duo will open play by taking on Virginia's Annabelle Xu and Martina Genis Salas in the Round of 16.

Kolarevic and Nguyen advanced to the NCAA Championship by winning the 2025 ITA Northeast Regional doubles title at the University of Pennsylvania on November 9, defeating Penn State's Olivia Dorner and Maiko Uchijima in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.

Kolarevic and Nguyen advanced to the finals after four straight wins moved the pair to the semifinals where they took a hard fought decision from Delaware's Maryia Hrynashka and Paulina Jurkowska. After dropping the first set, 6-4, the Fordham duo came back to win the second, 6-3, and the tiebreaker, 10-8.
