Fordham Travels to Davidson on Sunday for Next Match

Kingston, R.I. – (October 2, 2025) – The Fordham women's soccer team fell to the Rhode Island Rams on Thursday night at URI Soccer Complex by a 2-0 score.
 
Fordham dropped to 7-4-1 overall, 2-2 in Atlantic 10 play.
 
THE GAME
  • Rhode Island opened the scoring in the 17th minute, as Kyra Samalonis headed home a cross from Lauren MacDonald for her first goal of the year.
  • URI later doubled their advantage in th 52nd minute, converting on a corner kick set piece with Nicolasa Jacobs getting the goal, her second of the year for a 2-0 final score
 
GAME NOTES
  • King collected nine saves for Fordham, tying her career-high from earlier in the year against Northern Colorado.
  • Fordham put three shots on goal, two by Liina Tervo and one for Ella Guth.
