BRONX, N.Y. – In anticipation of the famed facility's upcoming 100th anniversary in January, Fordham Athletics has unveiled a redesigned playing service at the Rose Hill Gym.
Visible to the public for the first time at the volleyball team's home opener tomorrow afternoon, the redesigned floor meshes modern design trends with the university's strong brand history.
At center court, the court features a prominent Fordham script wordmark, a newly favored University logo meant to call to mind Fordham branding of yesteryear. The wordmark is set over a large silhouette of the department's recognizable Ram head, which will be highly visible both in-arena and on television.

The design features two additional on-court logos on the side of the benches, the first of which is a new dedicated Rose Hill Gym logo highlighting the building's famed façade. The other mark honors longtime athletic director Frank McLaughlin, the 1969 Fordham graduate who dedicated more than 50 years of his life to his alma mater as a student-athlete, coach and administrator. The University officially dedicated the floor of the Rose Hill Gym in McLaughlin's honor during November of 2022.

The baselines, which used to spell out Fordham in large block letters, now bear the name Rams in sleeker, yet still prominent text. The sideline in front of the scorer's table reads simply "The Bronx," an homage to the department's home borough.
The color scheme utilizes strong contrast between maroon, Fordham's traditional color, and thick white game lines. The baselines and paint area also incorporate a design meant to call to mind the Rose Hill campus' incomparable Gothic architecture.
