Phil Steele/Draftscouts 2024 FCS Preseason Teams
 
BRONX – Fordham senior linebacker James Conway and senior defensive lineman Matt Jaworski were named to the 2024 Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-America Team it was announced today. Conway was placed on the first team while Jaworski was named to the fourth team.
 
It is the second preseason All-America honor for each as they were both named preseason All-America by Stats Perform on Monday. Jaworski was also named the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year last week.
 
In addition to the Preseason All-America Team the Phil Steele also announced its Preseason All-Patriot League, a team that is highlighted by Fordham junior quarterback CJ Montes who was named the Patriot League Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Montes was also named a Stats Perform Preseason All-American on Monday.
 
Joining Conway, Jaworski, and Montes in being named first team preseason All-Patriot League were grad student wide receiver Garrett Cody, grad student offensive lineman Ryan Joyce, senior offensive lineman David Evbomenya, junior defensive linemen Sam Buerkle and Claudy Robinson, grad student defensive back Nahil Perkins, and senior punter Will Haslett.
 
Senior running back Julius Loughridge, grad student offensive lineman Cody Johnson, and junior long snapper Walker Adkinson were named second team preseason All-Patriot League while grad student wideout Mekai Felton, senior tight end Jaden Allen, senior defensive lineman Jack Low, grad student linebacker Mike Courtney, and sophomore defensive back Andrew Osmun were placed on the third team.
