BRONX, N.Y. – Earlier this month, Fordham Athletics undertook yet another successful Fordham Giving Day campaign, as the Rams raised nearly $300,000 to support the department's 500-plus student-athletes.

More than 400 donors made a generous contribution to Fordham Athletics between March 4-5, totaling just north of $275,000 in support of the University's varsity and club programs.

"I would like to once again thank our outstanding cohort of alumni and friends who have continually stepped up in support of our student-athletes over the years," said Athletic Director Ed Kull. "I'd also like to recognize the efforts of Kara Field and Austyn Finnk in our athletic development office for their hard work in making this day happen despite not having a full athletic fundraising team in place."

As a department, Athletics raised more on Giving Day than any other University program.

Fresh off its third straight Mid Atlantic Water Polo Conference title this fall, Fordham Water Polo led the way for the department with 77 donors contributing more than $130,000 in support of the team.

For the fiscal year, Fordham Athletics has fundraised $4.8 million dollars, outpacing the department's three-year rolling average of $4.16 million.  If you would like to make a gift to Fordham Athletics before the end of the fiscal year, please do so by clicking here.
