Flushing, N.Y – The Fordham women's tennis team traveled over the Whitestone Bridge today for a match at Queens College, defeating the Knights, 5-1, at the QC Tennis Bubble.
The Rams took five of the six singles matches, two in straight sets.
Anlin Xie got things started with a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles over Eva Rivoal while
Eleni Fasoula took second singles in straight sets over Maja Makal, 6-2, 6-3.
Franny Shea (third),
Julianne Nguyen (fourth), and
Lorraine Bergmann (sixth) all needed a third set before pulling out the win.
Doubles was not played to completion due to time constraints at the Queens facility.
