Bronx, N.Y. – (January 19, 2024) – Following an excellent training trip in Puerto Rico, the Fordham swimming & diving team is back in action on Saturday morning, as the Rams head to Philadelphia to take on the La Salle Explorers. The meet begins at 11:00 AM.
The Rams look to continue their roll from the fall semester, where Fordham swept all five dual meets.
Fordham and La Salle are long time rivals, whether it was as a part of the MAAC or currently in the Atlantic 10. Since the teams have both been in the Atlantic 10, the Fordham women are 21-6 against the Explorers in dual meet action, having won each of the last 20 meetings, dating back to the 2002-03 season. Last season, the Rams posted a 188-111 win over the Explorers.
In the same time span for the men, it's been a role reversal, where La Salle is 23-4 against Fordham. However, last season the Rams pulled out a 161-129 win over the Explorers at the Messmore Aquatic Center on Senior Day to snap an eight-meet slide to La Salle.
