BRONX, N.Y. – One could argue that a New York bagel is second to none, especially on a Sunday morning, and Fordham University women's basketball will combine two of the city's staples this weekend as Head Coach Bridgette Mitchell and her staff will host a "Buckets and Bagels" Coaches Clinic this Sunday morning at the Rose Hill Gym.
The clinic, which is open to coaches of all grade levels as well as AAU coaches, will begin on Oct. 1 at 8:00 a.m. with various sessions led by the Fordham Women's Basketball staff, including player development drills, offensive sets, defensive principles, and more. The session will also include breakfast and coaches are also welcome to stay and watch Fordham's team practice following the clinic.
Entering her first season as the Head Coach of the Rams, Mitchell comes to Rose Hill after spending the last two seasons at the helm of the Northeastern women's basketball program, garnering 33 wins in that time highlighted be a regular-season title in just her second year in charge. The 2023 CAA Coach of the Year, her time in Boston included a 19-12 record last season, where the Huskies finished 13-5 in league play to claim a share of the regular season championship, the first in program history, and earned the team its highest ever bid in the conference tournament at the No. 3 seed.
