Jason Harris was a four-year starter for the men's basketball team, cementing himself as the best sharpshooter in Rams history. Harris is the program record holder for career three-pointers with 274. His 93 made threes in the 1999-00 season are a single season school record and he also set the single game record for three-pointers in 1999, where he hit ten shots from beyond the arc. Although known for his shooting prowess, Harris was also an elite two-way player. His nine steals against Holy Cross in 1999 are a single game program record, and his 78 steals during the 1999-00 season are a single season program record. This performance landed him a spot on the 2001 Atlantic 10 All-Defensive team.
Nick Macarchuk helmed the men's basketball team for 12 seasons from 1987-99, compiling an overall record of 161-192. Macarchuk guided the Rams to back to back Patriot League titles in 1990-91 and 1991-92. The team made one NCAA appearance and three NIT appearances in Macarchuk's tenure, twice advancing to the NIT second round. He was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year in 1991, and Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year in 1999.
Congratulations to the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023! Each of these individuals' contributions are an integral part of the proud history of Fordham Athletics, and their legacies will be forever remembered and celebrated.
