BRONX, N.Y. - Just three days before the start of the 2023 men's college soccer season, Timo Hummrich has been named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team, it was announced this morning. 
 
The all-league squad was released in conjunction with the conference's preseason coaches' poll. The Rams were predicted to finish eighth in the 14-team A-10. 
 
Hummrich earned preseason recognition from the league's coaches following a stellar debut campaign in the Bronx. The Berlin native garnered First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in 2022 after leading the Rams with six goals. He also added three assists for a team-high 15 points. 
 
Hummrich, recently tabbed as one of 24 Defenders to Watch by United Soccer Coaches, arrived at Fordham after decorated stints at SMU and Delaware. He excelled in limited action at SMU due to injury after earning two all-league nods in as many opportunities at Delaware, where he was the 2018 CAA Rookie of The Year. Hummrich scored 10 times in 31 appearances with the Blue Hens. 
 
Hummrich and the Rams will open the 2023 campaign on Thursday night at Jack Coffey Field when they square off with Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and MSG.
