Record-setting Ram quarterback joins Commanders

Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham quarterback Tim DeMorat is taking his talents to a higher level as he signed a free agent contract with the NFL's Washington Commanders.
 
DeMorat enjoyed a record-breaking season last fall as he finished as the runner-up for the Walter Payton Award, presented to the NCAA FCS Offensive Player of the Year while also garnering multiple All-America accolades.
 
2022 (Senior Season)
• 2022 Athlon Sports FCS Postseason All-American.
• First Team STATS Perform All-America.
• First Team Associated Press NCAA FCS All-America.
• First Team Athlon Sports FCS All-America.
• Second Team AFCA FCS All-America.
• Played in the Hula Bowl and the Senior Bowl.
• 2022 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year (third straight year).
• Three-time First Team All-Patriot League.
• Completed 326 of 499 passes (65.3%) for 4,891 yards and 56 touchdowns.
• Set school single season record with 4,891 passing yards and 56 touchdowns (also a Patriot League record).
• Led the NCAA FCS in passing yards, passing yards/game (414.6), and total offense (411.6 yards/game) and was second in passing touchdowns (56) and passing efficiency (180.7).
• Led Patriot League in passing yards, passing yards/game, passing touchdowns, and total offense, and passing efficiency.
• Set the school and Patriot League records for most passing touchdowns in a season (56) and career (123) and most passing yards in a season (4,891).
• Also set school and Patriot League career records for completions (1,032) and passing yards (13,454).
• Earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the week nine times in 2022.
 
DeMorat joins former Rams Chase Edmonds (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Dylan Mabin (Atlanta Falcons), and Nick Zakelj (San Francisco 49ers) in the NFL. Kevin Anderson is also playing professionally as a member of the Arlington Renegades of the XFL.
