Ardsley, N.Y. – The Fordham women's tennis squad enjoyed its first home meet of the season today and made it a successful one with a 4-0 shutout of the University of Rhode Island, 4-0, at Anthony F. Veteran Park.
"Great rebound against another Atlantic 10 Conference opponent," said Fordham head coach
Michael Sowter. "Looking forward to next week's Senior Day against Saint Joseph's, the first of back-to-back matches next week."
The match opened with Fordham winning the doubles point, taking both completed matches, and then the home Rams clinched the win by taking the first three completed singles matches.
