Orlando, Fla. – For the second straight year, the second-seeded Fordham women's tennis team will play in the Atlantic 10 title match and for the second straight year the Rams' opponent will be #1 seed VCU.
The two Rams will square off on Sunday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the USTA National Campus with coverage from ESPN+.
Last year, Fordham fell to VCU, 4-0, in the championship match. The teams met earlier this year with VCU pulling out a 4-3 win in Richmond.
The Rams advanced to the title match with a 4-0 win over UMass on Saturday.
Fordham opened the match taking the doubles point, winning both completed matches, and then clinched the victory with wins at first, second, and fourth singles.
Lindsay Hung had the deciding win for the Rams with a 6-1, 7-6(7) win at the second position.
