Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University freshman Dhillon Virdee-Oakley (San Roque, Spain / Sotogrande International School) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 13 it was announced by the league office today.
 
In two matches on the week, Virdee-Oakley was a perfect 4-0 in combined singles and doubles action, playing at second singles and third doubles. In a 6-1 win over Holy Cross on Thursday, he defeated Camilo Illanes 7-5, 6-4, and teamed with Sampras Rakotondrainibe at third doubles for a 6-4 win Connor Nelson and Patrick Ling.
 
In the second match of the week, a 7-0 victory over Rider, Virdee-Oakley upended Jaime de Jaraiz in straight sets at second singles, 6-2, 6-0, and again paired with Rakotondrainibe for a 6-2 win over Pablo Salar Carrera and de Jaraiz in doubles play.
