Orlando, Fla. – The Fordham men's tennis team got its spring trip to Florida off on a positive note, defeating Hardin-Simmons University, 6-1, at the USTA National Campus on Tuesday.
"It was a solid win considering it was the first outdoor match of the season," said head coach David Slater. "There is lots to improve but a really great start."
Fordham opened the match, winning the doubles point by taking two out of the three matches, winning at first and third doubles.
The Rams then won five of the six singles matches to clinch the win.
