BRONX, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023-2024 season, Fordham's 121st varsity season, by hosting the Columbia University Lions for the Tom Konchalski Classic in the historic Rose Hill Gym Saturday, December 30, at 1:00 p.m.
Join the Ramses Challenge, a philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each rebound, offensive rebound, steal, or assist. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the men's basketball program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to men's basketball.
The game will be broadcast live on SNY and streamed on ESPN+ with Mike Watts (PxP), Andrew Bogusch (analyst), and Maria Trivelpiece (sidelines) announcing as well as broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and the
WFUV Sports YouTube page with Miles Grossman (PxP) and Colin Loughran (analyst) behind the mics.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-7 record and is coming off an 82-80 loss to Central Connecticut State University in the Rose Hill Gym on December 21 while Columbia is 8-3 on the season after an 87-83 win at FDU on December 11.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 81st meeting between Fordham and Columbia on the hardwood. The Rams lead the all-time series, 52-28, and have taken five of the past six meetings. Fordham took the most recent matchup, 77-67, on November 9, 2021, as
Darius Quisenberry netted a game-high 25 points while Chuba Ohams chipped in with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Japhet Medor leads the Rams in scoring (11.8) and assists (3.4/game) while Sophomore forward
Joshua Rivera is second in scoring (11.2 ppg) and rebounding (4.9/game).

Kyle Rose has 173 career steals, tied for eighth all-time at Fordham.
• Rose has appeared in 120 career games, tied for seventh all-time for the Rams.

Kyle Rose has 24 steals this year (2.0/game), second in the Atlantic 10, while senior guard
Antrell Charlton has 19 (1.6/game), sixth most in the A-10 this season.

Abdou Tsimbila has 28 blocks in eleven games (2.6/game), second in the Atlantic 10 and ninth in the NCAA.
• Tsimbila has 122 career blocks, tied for sixth all-time at Fordham.
• Tsimbila also leads the Rams in rebounding, averaging 8.4/game, second in the Atlantic 10.
• After averaging 2.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg last year, sophomore forward
Elijah Gray is averaging 8.2 ppg and 3.9 rpg this year.
• The Rams are 134-82 against teams currently in the Ivy League.
• The Rams did not lose any student-athletes to the transfer portal from 2022-23.
• The Rams open the 2024 Atlantic 10 season by traveling to Washington, D.C., to face the George Washington Colonials in the Smith Center on Wednesday, January 3 at 7:00 p.m.
