SERIES HISTORY: Since the first meeting in 2001, the Rams and Flyers have meet 39 times with Fordham having a one-game lead in the series at 20-19. Michael Taylor doubled to left and scored on a double by
Chris Genaro.
The Lions answered with five runs in the bottom half of the inning for a 10-1 advantage. Alex Krylov started the rally with a solo home to center, his first of the year. After a hit batsman, the Lions got three consecutive home runs by Andy Blake, MacGregor, and Hayden Scott to grab a nine-run advantage.
Fordham got a pair of runs back in the top of the sixth to make it a 10-3 game. Taylor drew a one-out walk and moved to third on a double by
Ryan Thiesse. Taylor came in to score on a wild pitch, while Thiesse scored on a single by
Cian Sahler. The Lions then put away the game with three runs in the sixth and eighth inning for the 16-3 victory.
For Fordham, Taylor was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Sahler was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two walks. Thiesse also had a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
