Asiah Dingle has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon, her third career A-10 weekly conference accolade and the third of the year for the Rams.
Although the Rams suffered a 78-72 defeat to Seton Hall on Saturday, Dingle kept her team in it by producing 26 efficient points, her sixth 20-point effort of the year, matching her career-high of 11 field goals on 20 attempts, including two triples, with four rebounds, a team-high four assists, and a steal across 36 minutes.
The Boston native leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 19.4 points per game on 44.9% shooting from the guard position, 39.7% from behind the arc, and 82.4% from the line with averages of 4.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.0 steals thus far this year. She ranks eight nationally in total steals (36), 12
th in total field goals (84), 20
th in steals per game, 26
th in points per game, and 74
th in free throws made (42).
For her career across three schools and four-plus seasons, Dingle has amassed 1,680 points, an average of 13.9 per game, 480 rebounds, 381 assists, and 262 steals, the latter number third among active players in Division I, over 121 appearances and 103 starts.
