Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham (2-1) seeks to rebound from its first loss of the year, a six-point battle with nationally-ranked Maryland on the road, on Wednesday night at Princeton, who began the season within the top-25 and received votes in both polls on Tuesday.

Ramses Challenge
Join the Ramses Challenge, a new philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes! Pledge a set amount of money for each three-pointer or steal this year, or make a one-time gift to the program. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to Fordham women's basketball. Read more here. So far, the Rams have 22 made threes and a whopping 39 steals already! Thank you for all your continued support!

Last Time Out
Phew, part three! The Rams kept their foot on the gas, battling back several times from big deficits in College Park on Sunday, even taking a brief one-point lead towards the end of the third quarter in what was ultimately a six-point loss to the Terps. After starting out shooting just 23.5% from the floor in the opening period and with the deficit at 14 three minutes into the second, Coach Green called a timeout that seemed to work as Fordham closed the half on a 20-7 run to get within one at the break, 34-33. The Rams went bonkers from distance in the third, hitting 7-of-13 attempts, helping them to overcome a 15-point deficit during the quarter. The Terrapins started the half on a 20-6 run before an Asiah Dingle floater bled into the media timeout. Out of the break, four different Rams hit a three and Maryland fouls put the visitors in the bonus where on back-to-back possessions Kaitlyn Downey and Dingle were sent to the line, the former hitting both and the latter hitting the front end to put Fordham ahead, 59-58. The lead was short-lived, though, as Diamond Miller's three-point heave with under 10 seconds left went in, ultimately proving to be the go-ahead basket.

DeWolfe led the way with 24 points on 9-of-20 shooting, hitting 4-of-9 from long range, while Downey fell just three assists shy of a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, 10 rebounds, seven dimes, plus three steals, over 31 minutes. Dingle added 16 points, Megan Jonassen grabbed five of her nine rebounds on the offensive end, and Jada Dapaa led with 11 boards, six offensive.

Fordham attempted 80 shots from the field, fourth-most in a single game in program history, third in regulation, converting on 33.8% of them, while hitting 12-of-36 from deep, both numbers tied for fourth-most in a game. The Rams also converted 10-of-11 free throws and grabbed 17 o-boards.

Asiah Dingle Named A-10 Player of the Week
Facing stiff competition, including Anna DeWolfe's big week and from reigning A-10 Player of the Year Sam Breen, among others, it should still be no surprise that the fifth-year guard earned the league's first weekly honor after leading the Rams to a 2-1 week. The Boston native averaged 17.3 points on 46.2% shooting, while hitting 3-of-10 from distance and 13-of-17 from the line, with 6.7 rebounds, a whopping 5.0 steals, 3.3 assists, and 0.7 blocks all over just 27.7 minutes per game. On Thursday, Dingle racked up a program-record 10 steals against Saint Peter's, part of the team's record 21 thefts.

Series History with Princeton
The Tigers hold a 7-5 advantage since the series began in 1979 and are 3-1 inside Jadwin Gym. Fordham is a two-game win streak, both at home in 2016 and last year. In last year's contest, when Princeton was a top-25 NET team, Fordham led for nearly 36 minutes until the Tigers rallied in the third to take a one-point lead, which the Rams responded to by going on a 15-0 run, leading by as much as 18 midway through the fourth. Fordham was led by DeWolfe's 28 points, Dingle's 14 points and four steals, and Downey's all-around line. The Rams shot 45.5% from the field and hit 21-of-25 freebies.

Triple D - DeWolfe, Dingle, Downey
Shut the front door! The Fordham trio have been gnarly, righteous, dynamite, and, perhaps most importantly, the bomb-dot-com. All three earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors and had at least one A-10 Player of the Week award last season. Combined, they made up 66.1% of the team's scoring on a combined 40.2% shooting overall. They are the real deal. Through two games so far, those numbers are similar – 64.1% of the scoring on 45.0% shooting. For context for the uninitiated, this entire blurb is related to Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Asiah Steals the Show
You thought her five steals in the season opener was a handful? She doubled that with a program-record 10 on Thursday against Saint Peter's, notching her ninth and 10th on consecutive possessions. Her previous best was six, which she'd accomplished several times over her career, including once with Fordham. The previous record was eight, done five times by four student-athletes, but not since Lauren Fleischer in 2001.

Are You Experienced?
Fordham's current starting lineup entered this season with a mammoth 499 career games played,  unofficially the most in the country via asking national Division I SIDs. Behind them at the beginning of the year were Virginia Tech (431), Oklahoma (427), and UT Arlington (402, but 444 including JUCO). Fordham is now up to 514 games played for its starting five with grad transfer Jada Dapaa adding 90 off the bench.

Three 1,000-Point Scorers... Almost!
Kaitlyn Downey is just five points away from becoming the 25th 1,000-point scorer in program history. Assuming she reaches the milestone on Wednesday night, she will join Asiah Dingle (1,499 across three schools and five seasons) and Anna DeWolfe (1,354 - eighth-most in school history).

DeWolfe, Dingle Named to Preseason All-Conference Teams
Anna DeWolfe and Asiah Dingle were named to Preseason All-Conference teams - DeWolfe on the First Team, Dingle the Second. Last year, DeWolfe earned her second straight First Team nod while Dingle was named Third Team All-Conference. Fordham was predicted to finish fourth by the league's coaches with Massachusetts receiving all 15 first-place votes.

Captains +1
Fifth-years Kaitlyn Downey and Megan Jonassen, plus senior Anna DeWolfe, served as team captains last year. They will do so again this year plus new addition Jada Dapaa, who was voted as the fourth captain by her teammates. It's Downey's fourth year as a captain, most in program history after J.J. Radice's three years, DeWolfe's third, and Jonassen's second.
