Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham volleyball team (2-7) returns home to host the 18th Rose Hill Classic, facing off against St. Francis Brooklyn (3-9) and Providence (10-1). The Rams will play the Terriers on Friday at 4 p.m. and the Friars on Saturday at 6 p.m. while the two will play each other Saturday at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Rams fell in five sets to St. John's and Army and in four sets to Boston College at last weekend's Kaiser Classic in Queens. Junior Chloe Pejouan was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging well over a block per set and notching a career-high 10 kills in the weekend finale. Whitley Moody matched her career-best in the match with 20 kills, as well.

Where They Rank
The Rams find themselves in the middle of every statistical category within the Atlantic 10 – 5th in hitting percentage (.185), 6th in kills per set (11.49), 4th in blocks per set (2.03).

At the individual level, several Rams are enjoying a terrific start to their seasons. Moody is fifth in the league with 3.71 kills per set and fifth with 4.04 points per set, with Bella Ureña just behind in 10th with 2.94 points per frame. Junior Chloe Pejouan remains tops in the A-10 with 1.52 blocks per set through 23 frames, a number that would only be bested by Isabel Fichtel's 1.93 mark last season in program history. Next best is Dayton's Amelia Moore at 1.41. Megan Brzozowski is third with 8.18 assists per set, while Mallory Lipski is fourth with 4.14 digs per set. Aria De La Rosa is fourth in the league with a .306 hit percentage, as well.

Moody Named A-10 Player of the Week
Moody, the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and a three-time Rookie of the Week in the Spring, earned her first Player of the Week award and Fordham's first since 2017 two weeks ago. Read all about her weekend here.

Series Histories
St. Francis Brooklyn – The Rams lead the all-time series, 12-4, since 1979, one of the first opponents in program history. The two schools last met in 2018 in the Rose Hill Gym, a four-set Fordham victory, moving them to 5-1 all-time in the Bronx.

Providence – Fordham is 3-1 against the Friars all-time although Providence won the last meeting in four sets in 2016 on neutral ground. The lone home match between the two schools came in 2003, a Fordham sweep.

Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
As a result of their effort in the spring, the Rams were predicted by the league's head coaches to repeat their fourth-place finish in the annual preseason poll, the highest Fordham has ever finished in it, besting the previous high of sixth in 2009.

VB Earns AVCA Team Academic Award
For the second straight year and third time in the last four, the Rams earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic award for programs with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or higher.
