2021 Men's Soccer Schedule
Bronx, N.Y. - (August 2, 2021) – The defending Atlantic 10 champion Fordham men's soccer team released its schedule for the upcoming 2021 season, featuring 18 regular season contests, which includes eight Atlantic 10 Conference matches and a premier showdown with 2019 NCAA champion Georgetown.
The Rams will open the 2021 season on the road for their first two matches with both opponents coming from the BIG EAST. The first match will be on August 26
th when Fordham travels to Providence, which will be followed by a trip to Georgetown, the 2019 NCAA champion, on August 29
th. It will be the first meeting between the two Jesuit institutions since 1988.
Fordham will then have its home opening contest on September 4
th at Jack Coffey Field against LIU.
The rest of non-conference action is spread out through the entire season with five more road matches and two at home. For home games, the Rams will face Seton Hall on September 28
th and Hofstra on October 12
th, while road contes include trips to St. John's (Sept. 6), Fairleigh Dickinson (Sept. 11), Manhattan (Sept. 14), Rider (Sept. 22), and Princeton (Oct. 26)
Fordham will have eight Atlantic 10 matches this season, beginning with a road match at La Salle on September 18
th. The Rams will also travel to Saint Louis (Oct. 2), Rhode Island (Oct. 16), and VCU (Oct. 23) this year.
For home conference matches, The Rams will meet up with George Washington in a re-match of last year's Atlantic 10 Championship match on September 25
th, as well as Davidson (Oct. 6), George Mason (Oct. 9), and Saint Joseph's (Oct. 30).
The year then culminates with the Atlantic 10 Championship, which starts on November 6
th with the quarterfinals, which will once again be played at campus sites. The semifinals and final will take place on November 12-14 at the campus of the highest seeded team remaining after the quarterfinals.
For preseason, the Rams will have two exhibitions matches at Rutgers on August 17
th and a home match with Fairfield on August 21
st.
