A letter from Michael O'Neill, FCRH '90, GABELLI '92:
 
The phrase "Once a Ram, always a Ram" will always ring true for me. As a double Ram, former Associate Vice President for Development and University Relations at Fordham, and a now-former colleague of Coach Kyle Neptune in my role as Senior Vice President at Villanova University (the alma mater of our fantastic women's basketball head coach Stephanie Gaitley), my Fordham connection and loyalty could not be stronger. 
 
I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to endorse Kyle to my fellow Rams as he brings his leadership, energy, passion, and know-how to Rose Hill. Kyle and I both joined Villanova in 2008 and I watched first-hand as he helped Jay Wright transform Villanova Basketball into one of the premier programs in the country, highlighted by a 2009 Final Four appearance and National Championships in 2016 and 2018. I can further attest to the impact that Nova's basketball success has had on the entire University - from enhanced national visibility, record admissions (in both quantity and quality), deeper alumni pride and engagement, and so much more. Villanova's basketball prominence has been built on leadership, institutional commitment, and philanthropy, and I believe Fordham is creating a comparable blueprint for success. 
 
The 2021-22 season will be here before you know it, and I want to help Coach Gaitley and Coach Neptune excel and build sustainably prominent programs that will complement and enhance Fordham's institutional excellence and national profile. That is why I have made a $25,000 investment, joining so many other fellow alums who have contributed almost $2,000,000 to the future of Fordham Basketball. I hope you will consider making an investment of your own, and I encourage you to contact Athletic Director Ed Kull (ekull@fordham.edu) to discuss how you can best support this new era of Fordham Basketball.
