Women's Basketball to Compete at 2021 Cancun Challenge

Fort Collins, Colo. – The first piece of the 2021-22 campaign puzzle has been revealed for Fordham women's basketball as the program has been chosen as one of several participants of the 2021 Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya from November 25-27. All contests will be broadcast on FloHoops.
 
"We are super excited about the challenges of the 2021-22 season." Head coach Stephanie Gaitley said, "We feel the chance to play against some of the top teams in the country in Cancun will get us ready for conference play. Our players are looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us."
 
Fordham will kick off the competition on the first day at 11 a.m. against three-time national champion Baylor. The Rams are guaranteed to play all three days and will next play Houston at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and close things out against Arizona State at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
 
There are two divisions comprised of 10 total programs. Fordham is in the Mayan division.

Riviera Division
Iowa vs. Seton Hall, 4 p.m.
Toledo vs. Idaho State, 6:30 p.m.
USC vs. UCF, 9 p.m.
 
Friday, Nov. 26
Mayan Division
Baylor vs. Arizona State, 11 a.m.
Houston vs. Fordham, 1:30 p.m.
 
Riviera Division
Toledo vs. Seton Hall, 4 p.m.
Iowa vs. USC, 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 27
