(May 20, 2021) – After a stellar spring season that featured the team's fourth Atlantic 10 Championship and fifth NCAA Championship appearance, the Fordham men's soccer team was placed in the final Top 25 polls of the season this week.
In the United Soccer Coaches Poll, Fordham was ranked #22, one spot up from the pre-NCAA Championship poll, while in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll, the Rams were #25.
Fordham ended the season with a 7-1-2 record, after falling to eventual national champion Marshall in overtime, 2-1, in the second round of the NCAA Championship.
Four Rams received All-Conference or All-Region honors, led by defender
Luke McNamara, who was First Team All-Atlantic 10 and First Team All-Southeast Region. Midfielder
Matt Sloan, the Atlantic 10 Championship's Most Outstanding Player, also received First Team All-Southeast Region honors after the season, while goalkeeper
Josh Levine was Second Team All-Southeast Region. Midfielder
Jacob Bohm was the final Ram to receive a postseason honor, garnering a spot on the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team.
