(April 20, 2021) – Following its selection into the NCAA Championship, the Fordham men's soccer team received more news this week, as the Rams entered the top 25 polls for the first time since the early portion of the 2018 season.
Following the Rams' Atlantic 10 Championship victory, Fordham entered the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll at #23, the College Soccer News Poll at #23, and the TopDrawerSoccer Poll at #24.
Additionally, it was announced that Fordham's
Matt Sloan was selected to the Soccer Team of the Week, by both College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer. Sloan was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the Atlantic 10 Championship after netting a goal in each contest. He scored the game-tying goal in the semifinal match with Saint Louis and netted the game-winning goal in the championship match against George Washington.
Sloan currently leads Fordham with four goals and nine points this season.
