Ellington, Conn. – The Fordham golf team began its first multi-round tournament of the year on Thursday at the Connecticut Cup, hosted by the University of Connecticut, held at Ellington Ridge Country Club. The Rams finished the day in a tie with Rider for sixth out of a field of 12 schools, led by sophomore
John Kryscio's 2-over performance that has him tied for seventh. Boston College is out in front among the schools, while Hartford's Manuel Romero, competing as an individual, is the individual leader at 1-under.

Kryscio carded a 74 on the day with three birdies, finishing 1-under on both four Par 3's and four Par 5's.
Tomas Nieves and
Andreas Aivazoglou each recorded 5-over 77's for a share of 33
rd, while
P.J. O'Rourke, T48 with a 79 and
Nicholas Manning, T75 with an 85, rounded out of the quintet.
Jimmy Bagdonas competed as an individual and will enter day two tied for 69
th with an 83. O'Rourke led the Rams with 12 pars, right ahead of Kryscio and Nieves, each with 11.

Manning will kick things off for Fordham at 11:15 a.m. at the first hole, while Bagdonas will tee off from the 10
th at 11:51 a.m. alongside the leader Romero. Â Â
