Kingston, R.I. – (March 31, 2021) – As the end of the regular season gets closer, the Fordham Rams continued their winning way on Wednesday with a 1-0 women's soccer win over the Rhode Island Rams at the URI Soccer Complex in Kingston, R.I.
The win was the third straight for Fordham, improving to 3-2-1 on the year, 3-2 in the Atlantic 10, and completed a season sweep of URI. Rhode Island fell to 1-8-2 overall, 0-4-2 in the league.

Fordham had the better of play in the first 20 minutes, posting four shots forcing Rhode Island goalkeeper Faith Hutchins to make to two stops.
The third shot on goal was the charm for Fordham in the 24
th minute, when Rhode Island native
Milan Bornstein netted her first goal of the season.
Kendall Dandridge played a long ball ahead to Bornstein at the top of the box and got a shot over the goalkeeper.
That one goal held up as the Rams completed their second straight shutout and third overall this season. Fordham netminder
Maria O'Sullivan made two saves for her second shutout, as Rhode Island was limited to eight shots in the match and only two corner kicks.
Fordham will next be in action on Thursday, April 8
th, when the team hosts Saint Joseph's on Jack Coffey Field at 7:00 PM.
