Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham volleyball team (3-1, 3-0) has begun Atlantic 10 play with three consecutive wins for the first time in its history and will look to extend that stretch this week against Rhode Island at home on Wednesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. and with two road contests at La Salle on March 19-20 at 5 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Fichtel, Moody Scoop Up Atlantic 10 Honors
Moody, for the second straight week, was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, while Fichtel, who was Rookie of the Week after the opening week of the season, earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. Read all about it

Series History vs. Rhode Island
Rhody leads the all-time series with the Rams, 32-10, since 1995. The (other) Rams dominated the first half of the rivalry, with Fordham not winning a single set until 1998 seven matches in. Fordham won seven matches between 2004 and 2012, and the most recent meeting, 3-0, in 2019 at home.
Series History vs. La Salle
Fordham owns a 39-11 all-time advantage over the Explorers since 1984. The Rams did not drop a match between 1998 and 2014 but in recent years, La Salle has won five of the past eight contests, including in five sets in their most recent meeting, at home in 2019.

Isabel Fichtel Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week
Earlier this season, Fichtel set the program's four-set record for blocks in a loss to St. John's, tallying 12 total, one solo, finishing just one block shy of tying the overall single-match record. She earned her first piece of A-10 hardware as a result.

The Rams have a home-and-home series with Rhode Island to finish out the regular season, first at home on March 24 at 4 p.m. and then in Kingston on March 28 at 4 p.m. A four-team Atlantic 10 Championship will take place following those contests.
