Newport News, Va. – Two weeks of action and two Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for the Fordham volleyball team so far this season. Despite a month in between matches, the Rams picked up their second weekly league accolade on Monday afternoon as
Whitley Moody was named Rookie of the Week.

Moody was fantastic this weekend, leading the offense to two straight Atlantic 10 road wins, at George Washington and George Mason, the first time the team has begun league play with two wins since 2010. The San Jose, Calif. native racked up 32 total kills and hit .267, recording two double-doubles, as well.
Against the Colonials, Moody went for 15 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks, then one-upped herself with 17 kills, 15 digs, and two blocks against the Patriots, both four-set wins. For the week, she averaged 4.0 kills per set, 3.12 digs per set, and 0.50 blocks per set. For the season, she has 46 total kills and is averaging 3.83 per frame, 33 digs and 2.75 per set, plus nine blocks.
The Rams return to the Bronx for three league matches this week – first up is La Salle on Wednesday, March 10, at 6 p.m.
