West Orange, N.J. – The 2021 Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship took place on Monday as a one-day, 27-hole, par-105 event. The Rams, led by junior
Nicholas Manning, finished in a tie for second with Robert Morris out of 10 schools. Columbia took home team honors with a combined score of 439 with the Lions' Pat Healy defeating Robert Morris' Josh Nagy and teammate Wyatt McGovern in a playoff.
Manning posted a 4-over 109 on the day, going 1-under on the opening nine holes and 2-under over the middle nine, before falling back a bit with a 37 on the final nine holes, tying Monmouth's Ron Robinson just two strokes out of the playoff.
Andreas Aivazoglou finished T11 with a score of 111, while
John Kryscio's 114 was good for T23.
Ryan Davis finished T27 with a 115 score,
Garrett Brown in his first action for Fordham finished T43 with a score of 119, and Jake Mrva rounded out the group in solo 57
th with a score of 128.
