Bre Cavanaugh, recently crowned the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, can add another accolade to her resume – a regional finalist for the WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team. She becomes the second Ram to be named a regional finalist, after
G'mrice Davis in 2018. The 2020 All-America team, made up of 10 student-athletes out of the 52 finalists, will be announced Thursday, April 2.

Cavanaugh, a Second Team selection as a freshman and First Team last year, repeated the latter this season, while also being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Championship team after averaging 20.3 points and 6.7 rebounds over three contests. The Allamuchy, N.J. native led the conference in scoring in and out of conference (19.5 / 21.6) and led all of Division I in total minutes played (1,242). The latter broke down into 38.8 minutes per contest, third nationally, with 40 minutes played in 17 of 32 games. Cavanaugh's 625 points finished the year ranked seventh nationally and sixth in school history. Her 88.2% free-throw percentage ranks fifth all-time at Fordham, led the A-10, and was 12
th in the nation.
A three-time league Player of the Week, Cavanaugh was second on the team in rebounding, tied for 10
th in the conference, with 6.3 per game, and was also second on the squad with 43 steals. Her 62 assists were fourth-most on the team and she carried a 1.8 assist/turnover ratio, with just 35 turnovers committed.
Having started an even 100 straight contests since donning the maroon and white, she will enter her senior campaign ranked fourth all-time at Fordham with 1,784 points, third in scoring average (17.8), fourth in free throws (402), and fifth in field goals (587), three-pointers (208), and free-throw percentage (84.6%).
