Bronx, N.Y. -  Fordham Athletics has worked with the Atlantic 10 Conference and ESPN to provide its most loyal fans and supporters with complimentary ESPN+ 3-month subscriptions this year, as a result of the 2020-2021 season taking place with no fans in attendance. In conjunction with the Fordham Ticket Office, over 100 loyal fans, supporters, season ticket holders and donors of the Fordham Men's and Women's Basketball programs received personalized codes through ESPN+ so they can easily follow along from home in this unique season.
 
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the many challenges that it has provided our department this year, we want to make sure our fans and supporters can follow along from home as easily as possible," said Ed Kull, Interim Director of Athletics.
 
"In this unique environment, keeping our fans connected has been a top priority of our department. With basketball season underway, we hope this provides a source of excitement and happiness for our fans to remain engaged throughout the season while they root on Fordham Basketball from home."
 
Earlier this fall, both basketball programs completed a successful two week virtual sell out campaign, and as a result, raised over $27,000. With the inability to sell tickets and have fans in the stands, the game day experience looks a lot different. Along with the preseason virtual sell out push, Fordham partnered with Qwasi to create virtual game day hubs for each program as well.  These platforms provide opportunities for fans to register for free, follow along on select game days as a "second screen" while they gain access to exclusive game day content, earn chance to win prizes, and more.
 
In a year like no other, the fans, alumni, and parents of Fordham Athletics continue to remain a crucial part of the department's overall success.
