Bronx, N.Y. – (January 18, 2020) – In their second match of the weekend, the Fordham squash team could not find an answer to the Hamilton College on Saturday at the Lombardi Squash Courts, falling by a 9-0 count.
With the loss, Fordham is now 14-8 on the year.
The Rams once again had to default two points to start the match and were unable to claw their way out of the deficit.
Justin George and
Dylan Panichello were both able to win a game in their matches at the fourth and fifth slot. However, George lost to Tristan Chaix in four games, 9-11, 11-3, 11-4, and 11-9, while Panichello also took a four-game loss to Aaron Hadar, 11-4, 9-11, 11-3, and 11-5.
The remaining match were three-game losses with
William Douglass having to retire his first position match with Callum Sondhi after dropping the first two games, 16-14 and 11-3.
Fordham has one more match this weekend to try and snap a three-game slide, as the Rams host Hobart at 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 19
th.
