Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham women's soccer team recorded its first draw of the season on Sunday afternoon, a scoreless draw with Lehigh. With the result, the Rams move to 1-4-1 overall, while the Mountain Hawks are now 0-2-4.
Fordham recorded 10 shots overall, five in each half, but withstood a 16-shot barrage by the visitors in the second half. Lehigh held the advantage overall, 20-10, including 6-4 on target.
Kelly LaMorte made six saves on the day, all coming in the second half. Among 31 total fouls, Lehigh responsible for 17 of those, there was just one yellow card – for Fordham's
Kendall Dandridge.

Hope Baisley and
Milan Bornstein notched a pair of shots to lead the offense, with six others tallying one shot. The Rams enjoyed the majority of possession and chances in the first half but the Mountain Hawks dominated for a lengthy period of the second stanza, including four corner kicks. Lehigh continued holding more of the possession in the overtime periods, including two late corner kicks with the clock ticking down.
The Rams head back to the road for three consecutive contests over the next 11 days. First up is Yale on Thursday, September 12, at 7 p.m.
