Erin Cameron Promoted to Head Athletic Trainer at Fordham

Athletic trainer has been member of Rams’ staff since 2013

Bronx, N.Y. – Erin Cameron, an assistant athletic trainer at Fordham University for the past six years who served as the interim head athletic trainer since November, received a promotion to head athletic trainer in an announcement today by director of athletics David Roach. She becomes just the sixth person to hold the position of head athletic trainer in Fordham history.

A 2013 University of New Hampshire graduate, Cameron started her athletic training career as a student athletic training assistant, working with the women's hockey team in 2011-2012 and the women's volleyball team in the spring of 2011.

In the fall of 2012 she was a student trainer for Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, providing practice and game coverage as well as evaluating injuries and providing treatments and rehabilitation to the athletes. Cameron also served as a student trainer for the University of New Hampshire Campus Recreation Program in the fall of 2010, providing training services to the school's 32 club sports teams.

Cameron arrived at Fordham in September of 2013 and has worked closely with the women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, and football programs.

A BOC certified athletic trainer and New York State licensed athletic trainer, Cameron graduated from New Hampshire with a degree in athletic training. She is CPR, AED and first aid certified by the American Heart Association.

In 2018, Cameron was honored at the 2018 Block "F" Awards Dinner with the Jack Coffey Award, presented to a Fordham administrator, alumnus, or coach for outstanding contributions and dedication to the athletic program.
