Bronx, N.Y. – (June 10, 2019) - Fordham men's soccer head coach
Carlo Acquista announced the team's 2019 schedule today, which is highlighted by the Rams hosting the semifinals and title match of the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship at Jack Coffey Field.
This will be the fourth different sport that Fordham has hosted the Atlantic 10 Championship, having served as the home site for cross country (once), softball (four times), and baseball (four times) over the years.
The schedule features two teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season, road trips to ACC opponent, Clemson, and BIG EAST opponents, Villanova and Seton Hall, and a seven-match home schedule. It will also have a new conference component, as outside of one contest, those contests will take place on Saturdays only.
The Rams begin their non-conference schedule with an August 30
th match at local rival Hofstra, followed by a road match at NJIT on September 2
nd.

Fordham has its home opener on September 7
th, when the Rams host Rider, who made the NCAA Championship a year ago. It is one of three non-conference home matches along with Holy Cross on September 14
th and Manhattan on September 24
th.
The Rams then have five other non-league road matches, which span from September 10
th to October 29
th. Fordham will play at Villanova for the first time since 1973 on September 10
th, while facing ACC opponent Clemson for the first time ever a week later on September 17
th. The Rams will also travel to Stony Brook (Oct. 1), Seton Hall (Oct. 8), and Columbia (Oct. 29).
Atlantic 10 action for Fordham starts on September 21
st at home against La Salle, followed by another home match with St. Bonaventure on September 28
th. Saint Joseph's (Oct. 19) and George Mason (Oct. 26) will also visit Rose Hill for conference matches.
On the road, Fordham will travel to meet defending Atlantic 10 champion Rhode Island on October 5
th, along with taking on Massachusetts (Oct. 12), VCU (Oct. 23), and Saint Louis (Nov. 2).
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held, November 10-17, with quarterfinal action being played at the higher seed's home field. The semifinals and final will take play at Fordham's Jack Coffey Field on November 15
th and 17
th.
In addition to the regular season schedule, Fordham will also have exhibition contests against St. John's on August 15
th and Adelphi on August 23
rd.
