Bronx, N.Y. – In its final appearance on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts of the season, the Fordham women's tennis squad fell to Stony Brook, 4-0, on Wednesday.
The match opened with Stony Brook earning the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches. Jamie Wei and Nolwenn Cardoso took first doubles from
Tatiana Grigoryan and
Arina Taluyenko, 6-3, while Sasha Bekirova and Elizabeth Pam defeated
Gianna Insogna and
Alexis Zobeideh at the second position, 6-2.
The Seawolves then took all three completed singles matches for the win.
The Rams return to action on Friday, April 19, as they travel to Amherst, Mass., to face the University of Massachusetts at 2:00 p.m. in the final match of the season before the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship.
