West Point, N.Y. – The Fordham women's tennis team traveled to Army today where they fell to the Black Knights, 4-1.
The match opened with Army West Pint taking the doubles point though Fordham's
Arina Taluyenko and
Tatiana Grigoryan defeated Melanie Allen and Ana Joyner at first doubles, 6-3.
In singles action, Grigoryan picked up a point for the Rams with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Allen at the second position.
Taluyenko took the first set from Ana Joyner at first singles, 6-3, before dropping the second by the same score. Taluyenko was ahead in the third set, 2-0, when the match was halted.
The Rams return to action on Sunday, February 24, as they face St. Bonaventure at Army West Point at 9:00 a.m.
