Bronx, N.Y. – (November 17, 2019) – Following the conclusion of the 2019 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship, it was announced that Fordham graduate student goalkeeper
Konstantin Weis (Karlsruhe, Germany) was selected to the All-Championship Team for his stellar performance in the Championship.
Weis totaled 10 saves and was credited with two shutouts in the Championship. He was one of three goalkeepers in the championship to have to shutouts along with Rhode Island's Stefan Schmidt and Dayton's Federico Barrios. All three keepers would find their way onto the All-Championship team.
In the quarterfinals, Weis tallied six saves in a shutout of Saint Louis, which included a clutch penalty kick save early in the second half. He followed with four saves in the semifinals against Rhode Island, posting another shutout, his seventh of the season. Then, in the penalty kick shootout, Weis made two stops in what was the longest penalty kick shootout in A-10 Championship history at nine shooters.
