Pittsburgh, Pa. – Fordham University freshman guard Chris Austin will undergo season-ending surgery on Monday it was announced today by head men's basketball coach Jeff Neubauer.
 
Austin, who will have surgery on his left thumb, appeared in nine games in 2018-2109, starting six. He averaged 1.2 ppg and 0.9 rpg with four assists and three steals.
 
He joins Prokop Slanina, who had shoulder surgery in October, in suffering a season-ending injury.
