Bridget Alex Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

Newport News, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its cross country weekly awards on Tuesday, with Fordham's Bridget Alex earning Rookie of the Week honors.

It is the first weekly award for Alex and the Rams this season.

The freshman broke through for the first win of her young Fordham career at the NYIT Invitational, finishing first in a career-best time of 18:05.98 to help lead Fordham to a first place finish.
 
Alex and the Rams return to action Saturday, September 29 at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. Races begin at 9:30 a.m.
