Bronx, N.Y. – (September 18, 2018) - Fordham baseball head coach
Kevin Leighton announced the team's 2019 schedule today. It features 22 home games, non-conference weekend series in Texas, Florida, and Maryland, and match-ups with three NCAA teams from a year ago.
Except for 1944, the Fordham baseball program has played every year since 1859 and stands as the winningest program in NCAA history. The Rams will be competing for their tenth Atlantic 10 Championship tournament berth in the last 16 years, in hopes of being at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship, May 22-25, which for the fourth time will be hosted at Fordham's Houlihan Park.
Fordham kicks off the season on February 15
th in College Station, Texas, where the Rams will make their second-ever trip to the Lone Star State, as they take on Texas A&M, who made the NCAA Championship a year ago in a three-game series. The Aggies are one of three teams on Fordham's schedule to make the NCAA Tournament last year, along with Columbia and Saint Louis.
The Rams' then head to the Sunshine State for a four-game series at North Florida, February 22

th, before heading back to the Bronx for Fordham's home opener on February 26
th against Sacred Heart. It is the first of two home games against Sacred Heart, along with March 12
th.

The team will then make a pair of trips to Maryland, taking on Maryland Eastern Shore, March 1

rd, in a four-game series, while taking part in the Towson Round Robin, March 15

th, against Towson and Cornell. Fordham's final non-conference weekend series in April 27

th at Massachusetts Lowell.
In addition to the weekend match-ups, Fordham has mid-week road games against Siena (Apr. 10), Fairfield (Apr. 16), Fairleigh Dickinson (Apr. 23), Saint Peter's (Apr. 24), and Albany (Apr. 30).
On the non-conference home slate, Fordham will welcome Iona (Mar. 5), Coppin St. (Mar. 9-10 – three games), Wagner (Mar. 13), Siena (Apr. 2), and Columbia (Apr. 9).
In conference play, Fordham's home series opponents will be against St. Bonaventure (Mar. 22-24), Saint Joseph's (April 5-7), Saint Louis (April 18-20), and La Salle (May 10-12). The Rams then play at Rhode Island (Mar. 29-31), at VCU (Apr. 12-14), at George Mason (May 3-5), and Dayton (May 16-18).
