Atlantic 10 Weekly Award Release
Newport News, Va. – (September 10, 2018) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its men's soccer weekly awards on Monday with Fordham junior defender
Joergen Oland (Drammen, Norway) being named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
It marks the third straight week that Fordham has been honored with a weekly accolade, while being the first career weekly award for Oland.
Oland netted a pair of game-tying goals and was named to the Wisconsin All-Invitational Team this week. Last Monday, he netted the game-tying goal in the 83rd minute against Northwestern, a game Fordham eventually won in overtime by a 3-2 score. Then on Saturday, he did it again, scoring in the 88th minute against Bryant to give the Rams a 1-1 double overtime draw.
Oland and the rest of the Rams, who moved up to #9 in the College Soccer News Top 30 poll, while remaining at #11 in the top 25 poll for Top Drawer Soccer, are next in action on Wednesday, September 12th, as the team travels to Marist for a 7:00 PM start.
