G'mrice Davis has just put pen to paper for the upcoming 2018-19 season to play for Greek A2 National League team GAS Kalyvion, it was announced on Tuesday.
Davis capped a tremendous four-year career in maroon and white by being announced as the program's first ever WCBA All-American, earning Honorable Mention, and Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year in addition to her second consecutive First Team All-Conference and All-Defense honors. The Philadelphia, Pa. native became the second Ram to ever score 1,000 career points, finishing with 1,497 points, good for fifth all-time, and grab 1,000 career rebounds, finishing at 1,199 boards, good for second all-time behind Hall of Famer Anne Gregory O'Connell.
For a second consecutive year, Davis averaged a double-double, upping her averages from 14.6 points and 12.8 rebounds to 16.5 and 13.4, respectively. The latter figure ranked third in all of Division I, as did her 27 double-doubles, while her 10.2 defensive rebounds ranked second in the nation and her 429 boards ranked fourth. Davis' 57 career double-doubles were tied for most among all active players come season's end. Davis also finished her career with the fourth-most field goals (589) and free throws (319) in program history while making the seventh-most appearances (125) and ninth-most starts (96).
Davis will join up with her new club in September. Kalyvion finished runners-up and went 17-5 in the South division of the A2 National league. First place teams in each division move up to the A1 National League.
