Kansas City, Mo. – (December 5, 2018) – United Soccer Coaches released its All-Region selection for men's soccer on Wednesday with three Fordham Rams selected to the All-Southeast Region Team.  Senior forward Janos Loebe (Kierspe, Germany) and junior defender Joergen Oland (Drammen, Norway), were named First Team All-Southeast Region, while senior goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu (Accra, Ghana) was selected Second Team All-Southeast Region.  In all, 14 players from the Atlantic 10 garnered All-Southeast Regions honors.

By being named First Team All-Region, both Loebe and Oland are now under consideration for All-American status from United Soccer Coaches.

The trio of Rams were all selected First Team All-Atlantic 10 with Loebe and Oland garnering Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively.

For Loebe, this is the second consecutive year that he has earned First Team All-Region honors, as he was First Team All-Midwest Region in 2017.  This season, he became just the third Atlantic 10 player to win the Offensive Player of the Year/Player of the Year Award twice and was only the second player to earn First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors all four years of his career.

A two-time Offensive Player of the Week, Loebe led the Atlantic 10 with 11 assists during the regular season, while his 25 points tied for the league lead with George Washington's Oscar Haynes Brown and Saint Joseph's Leon Maric.  His seven goals tied for ninth in the league, with his three game-winning goals, tying for sixth.  Nationally, he ranks fourth in total assists as well as second in assists per game, while being 34th in total points and 23rd in points per game.

Loebe will go down as one of the top offensive players in program history, ranking second at Fordham in career assists (31), fourth in career points (83), tied for sixth in goals (26), fourth in games played (79) and third in games started (78).

Oland earns First Team All-Region honors after receiving Third Team All-Midwest Region accolades last year.  In 2018, he helped the Fordham defense post a 0.95 goals against average, which ranks in the top 40 in the nation, as well as six shutouts.  In addition to his prowess on the back end, he tied his career-high with five goals, which was good for second on the Rams, while his 10 points were third on the squad.  He was also named Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week once this season.

Nuhu receives Second Team All-Southeast Region honors a year after being Second Team All-Midwest Region.  In 2018, he started 16 games for Fordham, recording a 0.94 goals against average, a .781 save percentage, 57 saves, and six shutouts.  He earned Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors once during the season and rated third in the Atlantic 10 in save percentage, fourth in goals against average, tied for sixth in saves, and tied for fourth in shutouts.

Nuhu finished his career as one of the program's best netminders, setting the career record for minutes played by a goalkeeper (6942) and tying the career appearances mark (74), while being second in shutouts (30) and goals against average (0.93).
