Nick Honor (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office today. It is the third weekly honor of the year for the freshman.

The Rams went 1-1 on the week with a 78-70 win over Rutgers in the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday. Â In that game, Honor scored a season-high 30 points, shooting 10-for-17 from the field and 5-for-7 from behind the arc and dished out six assists.

In the other game, a 75-68 overtime loss at Maine last Tuesday, Honor netted 16 points and added two rebounds.

On the week, Honor averaged 23.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, and 3.5 apg, shooting .429 (6-14) from behind the arc.

On the season, Honor is averaging a team-best 18.9 ppg, ranking him sixth in the Atlantic 10, 2.8 rpg and 3.5 apg, eleventh best in the conference. He leads the team with 22 three-pointers made and is shooting 90.9 percent from the free throw line (30-33), tops among all A-10 players.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday, December 11, as they host the NJIT Highlanders in the Rose Hill Gym at 8:00 p.m.
